This is a great introductory activity for the topic of Journeys. The differentiated worksheet encourages children to consider what they would need to pack for different journeys they may take.
A fantastic, tried and tested lesson. Using the intro PowerPoint explore what the life of a servant in a castle would have been like; you could even get children to role play so that they can get into character. Children can then have a go at writing a diary entry from the life of a servant using the beautiful differentiated scroll worksheets and the diary writing frame to help them. If you have any early finishers, why not ask them to draw a banquet table and use the food activity sheet to either draw their own food items on the table, or cut and stick from the sheet.
This is a fantastic resource for a pirate topic. Children can read pirate words on their checklist and find the meaning of these words on the vocab cards. Differentiated by phases.

You could even give children a blank grid and challenge them to make their reptile word search.

A fantastic activity to support children in learning key vocabulary by creating their very own dictionary. A great opportunity to teach children about how to use dictionaries and how to put words into alphabetical order.
HA – children will need to put key vocabulary into alphabetical order and write statements to explain word next to each.
